Stepping into Hotel Jerome feels like opening a well-loved novel, one that’s been thoughtfully rewritten for today. Built in 1889 by mining magnate Jerome B. Wheeler, the brick landmark has long anchored Aspen’s Main Street, once boasting some of the West’s earliest electric lights and the town’s only above-ground ballroom. Through silver booms and busts, it endured — welcoming everyone from rugged outdoorsmen to Hunter S. Thompson — and its storied J-Bar still pours the legendary Aspen Crud, a nod to its Prohibition-era past.

Now part of the Auberge Resorts Collection, the Jerome pairs that layered history with an easy, elevated alpine sensibility. Guest rooms blend rich woods, supple leather, and plush textures with expansive windows framing Aspen’s peaks, equal parts cozy refuge and polished retreat. Mornings begin with coffee at the jewel-box Felix Roasting Co., afternoons drift into spa rituals or mountain adventures, and evenings settle in with fireside cocktails or dinner at Prospect. It’s the kind of place where heritage and hospitality feel effortless,  and staying awhile feels inevitable.

Step into Aspen’s golden glow with Après Tea, a decadent twist on a timeless ritual featuring hand-selected TEALEAVES blends and an assortment of jewel-toned sweet and savory bites. Guests have the option to further elevate their afternoon with add-on enhancements such as caviar service, whimsical cocktails or a glass of Louis Roederer – one of Champagne’s most revered houses – served in sparkling Waterford crystal. Equal parts après-ski spirit and alpine sophistication, it’s Aspen’s most indulgent new tradition.

SEASONAL SKATING RINK

There’s something undeniably magical about winter in Aspen, and this year, Hotel Jerome becomes its most enchanting stage. Beneath a canopy of twinkling lights and snow-dusted pines, the courtyard transforms into a winter skating rink that feels pulled from the pages of a snow globe, set in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.

The Jackson Hole Look

Jackson Hole style is all about rugged elegance with a Western twist. Think denim, suede, skirts, and boots on repeat—the kind of pieces that look just as good on a sunny summer day as they do layered up for cooler nights. The best part? These essentials are true year-round staples, making them perfect for your mountain-to-city wardrobe.
