Last week, the quintessential charm of New Canaan, Connecticut met California cool as STAUD unveiled its latest Summer collection at the home of City Country Beach co-founder Lizzi Bickford Meadow. With colorful lush gardens and green manicured lawns as the backdrop, guests explored an assortment of effortless, vacation-ready pieces curated by City Country Beach.

The well-attended gathering drew a crowd of notable tastemakers and fans of the brand who enjoyed the intimate shopping experience. Highlights from the collection included STAUD’s newest silhouettes—breezy linen separates, softly structured dresses, and the brand’s signature punchy accessories.

As the afternoon approached, guests enjoyed a casual, locally-sourced lunch, thoughtfully prepared by Arden’s Rowayton. A favorite among local culinary insiders, Arden’s offered attendees a taste of the season ahead — summer salads, delicate tartines, sweet treats and chilled rosé, of course!

True to STAUD’s ethos, the event “struck a balance between playful and polished – a relaxed edit of what women actually want to wear when the temperatures rise,” said City Country Beach co-founder, Jamiee Marano Lunderborg. “We wanted to curate a collection of products that we knew would resonate with the region, but would also offer some unexpected items that you might not see or find locally.”

When asked why host at home in New Canaan Lizzi responded, “it’s such a fun way to celebrate the summer season ahead – relaxed and in my own environment. We wanted to give this event an extra special, personal touch. While we host our clients in so many beautiful places and spaces around the world, I love entertaining at home. It felt like the right setting for STAUD which is a brand I love to wear in the city, country and beach. We also felt that bringing STAUD to New Canaan was something the community would truly enjoy.”
